The Big Bay de Noc Black Bears basketball team (Cooks, MI), was nudged 45-44 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Superior Central Cougars (Eben Junction, MI)
The Cougars now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rapid River for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 7. Superior Central will battle a Rockets team coming off a 42-30 non-league win over North Dickinson (Felch, MI). The Rockets record now stands at 8-6.
The Black Bears (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Nah Tah Wahsh (Wilson, MI). The come into the Northern Lights battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Nah Tah Wahsh was nudged by Oneida Nation (Oneida, WI), 75-18, in a non-league battle.
