Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Rockwood Rockets (Rockwood, PA), 64-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bishop Walsh upgrades its record to 6-16 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Morgantown Christian Academy (Morgantown, WV) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 8-6. Morgantown Christian Academy lost 71-46 in their recent league bout against Mercer Christian Academy (Princeton, WV)

Next up, the Rockets play the Shanksville Stonycreek Vikings (Shanksville, PA) in a Western Pennsylvania - Southern bout, on Saturday, February 4. Rockwood will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 55-50 league win over Meyersdale (Meyersdale, PA).
