The Peoria Notre Dame Irish basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Centennial Chargers to 29 in the Irish league triumph on Friday.

The Irish now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Metamora for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4. Peoria Notre Dame will battle a Redbirds team coming off a 53-41 league win over Pekin (Pekin, IL). The Redbirds record now stands at 23-2.

The Chargers (12-14) will now prepare for their contest against Champaign Central (Champaign, IL). The Maroons enter the non-league contest with a 7-17 record. In their last contest, Champaign Central was routed by Richwoods (Peoria, IL), 48-42, in a league contest.
