Missouri High School Basketball - Central tipped by Platte County

The Platte County Pirates basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Central Indians to 53 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grain Valley for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Platte County will meet a Eagles team coming off a 69-59 league loss to Truman (Independence, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 11-7.

The Indians (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Park (Kansas City, MO). The Northmen enter the Freelance contest with a 16-2 record. In their last contest, Oak Park was nudged by Park Hill (Kansas City, MO), 71-63, in a league contest.
