The Wakefield Bombers basketball team (Wakefield, KS), was routed 53-15 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Goessel Bluebirds (Goessel, KS)

The Bluebirds now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elyria Christian for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 7. Goessel will battle a team coming off a 65-21 non-league win over Herington (Herington, KS). The record now stands at 13-2.

The Bombers (1-14) will now prepare for their battle against Rural Vista [Hope/White City] (Hope, KS). The Heat come into the Wheat State battle with a 5-10 record. In their last battle, Rural Vista [Hope/White City] was routed by Solomon (Solomon, KS), 56-48, in a league battle.
