In Friday's non-league match, the host Princeton Tigers basketball team scored a good 66-52 triumph over the Independence Patriots.
In their next game, the Tigers face the Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 4. Princeton will attempt to move on its 11-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 4-17 record after their 69-68 league win over Richlands (Richlands, VA).
With the defeat, Independence moves to 4-9 on the year. The Patriots travel to Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV) to face the Raiders in a Coalfield AA match on Friday, February 10. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 8-6.
