In Friday's non-league outing, the Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), by a count of 63-37.

The Chieftains (5-10) will now prepare for their outing against Salem (Salem, MA). The Witches go into the Northeastern - Large outing with a 11-4 record. In their last outing, Salem smashed Saugus (Saugus, MA), 69-35, in a league outing.

The Vikings now hold a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Danvers for a Northeastern - Small outing on Tuesday, February 7. Winthrop will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 62-47 non-league win over Bishop Fenwick (Peabody, MA). The Falcons record now stands at 4-12.
