Niskayuna Silver Warriors (Niskayuna, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Troy Flying Horses (Troy, NY), 53-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Niskayuna upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Silver Warriors host Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY) to play the Goldbacks in a non-league bout on Sunday, February 5. The Goldbacks go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Newburgh Free Academy won 65-63 in their recent league bout against Kingston (Kingston, NY)

Next up, the Flying Horses play the Christian Brothers Academy Brothers (Albany, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Troy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Brothers go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 85-67 non-league win over La Salle Institute (Troy, NY).
