The Vandalia Vandals basketball team (Vandalia, IL), was nudged 62-59 in Friday's league battle with the visiting North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL)

The Panthers now possess a 12-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carlinville for a South Central battle on Tuesday, February 7. North Mac will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 55-31 non-league loss to Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-17.

The Vandals (13-13) will now prepare for their battle against Southwestern (Piasa, IL). The Piasa Birds come into the South Central battle with a 14-13 record. In their last battle, Southwestern was nudged by Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL), 60-52, in a non-league battle.
