The Shepard Astros basketball team (Palos Heights, IL), dropped 71-53 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Oak Forest Bengals (Oak Forest, IL)
The Bengals now possess a 11-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thornton Fractional South for a South Suburban battle on Tuesday, February 7. Oak Forest will confront a Red Wolves team coming off a 67-40 non-league loss to Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Red Wolves record now stands at 13-13.
The Astros (11-14) will now prepare for their battle against Bremen (Midlothian, IL). The Braves come into the South Suburban battle with a 7-18 record. In their last battle, Bremen dropped by Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL), 70-63, in a league battle.
