The Pearl River Central Blue Devils basketball team (Carriere, MS), was nudged 57-53 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Pass Christian Pirates (Pass Christian, MS)
The Pirates now sport a 19-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greene County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 7. Pass Christian will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 51-48 non-league win over Stone (Wiggins, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 15-13.
The Blue Devils (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Picayune (Picayune, MS). The Maroon Tide come into the 5A Region 7 battle with a 15-15 record. In their last battle, Picayune edged Hancock (Kiln, MS), 58-36, in a non-league battle.
