Paxton Tigers (Paxton, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Sandhills Valley Mavericks (Stapleton, NE), 68-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Paxton upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Tigers host Hershey (Hershey, NE) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-9. Hershey lost 49-26 in their recent non-league bout against Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE)

Next up, the Mavericks clash with the Cozad Haymakers (Cozad, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Sandhills Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Haymakers go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 54-49 non-league win over Minden (Minden, NE).
