In Friday's league outing, the Wright City Wildcats (Wright City, MO) basketball squad felled the host Silex Owls (Silex, MO), by a margin of 53-43.

The Wildcats (3-9) will now prepare for their outing against North Callaway (Kingdom City, MO). The Thunderbirds go into the Eastern Missouri outing with a 10-11 record. In their last outing, North Callaway was beaten by Elsberry (Elsberry, MO), 85-52, in a league outing.

The Owls now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they travel to Marion County for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 4. Silex will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 60-41 non-league loss to Mark Twain (Center, MO). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-9.
