In Friday's league outing, the South County Vipers (Franklin, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Tri-City Tornadoes (Buffalo, IL), by a count of 62-23.
The Vipers (15-13) will now prepare for their outing against Griggsville-Perry (Griggsville, IL). The Tornadoes go into the non-league outing with a 19-6 record. In their last outing, Griggsville-Perry was crushed by Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL), 63-29, in a non-league outing.
The Tornadoes now hold a 6-20 record. They play next when they travel to Greenfield/Northwestern for a non-league outing on Monday, February 6. Tri-City will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 60-52 non-league win over Southwestern (Piasa, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 16-10.
