Ar-We-Va Rockets (Westside, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Paton-Churdan Rockets (Churdan, IA), 62-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ar-We-Va upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season.

Next up, the Rockets play the Exira-EHK Spartans (Elk Horn, IA) in a Rolling Hills bout, on Monday, February 6. Paton-Churdan will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 60-52 non-league loss to Woodbine (Woodbine, IA).
