Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots (Hurricane, WV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hannan Wildcats (Ashton, WV), 50-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calvary Baptist Academy upgrades its record to 1-8 on the season. The Patriots host Wood County Christian (Williamstown, WV) to clash with the Wildcat in a West Virginia Christian - AA bout on Monday, February 6. The Wildcat go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Wood County Christian lost 49-33 in their recent non-league bout against Valley (Pine Grove, WV)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Covenant Eagles (Barboursville, WV) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Hannan will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 44-22 non-league win over Hannan (Ashton, WV).
