Fans at Friday's league challenge between the North Central Hurricanes (Lebeau, LA) and the host Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA), saw North Central's basketball squad wallop Catholic of Pointe Coupee by a tally of 54-23.

With the victory, North Central improves its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Ville Platte (Ville Platte, LA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Ville Platte won 47-28 in their recent league challenge against Mamou (Mamou, LA)

Next up, the Hornets confront the False River Gators (New Roads, LA) in a 1A District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record.
