The Southeast of Saline Trojans (Gypsum, KS) basketball nipped the host Chapman Fighting Irish (Chapman, KS), 43-42 in Friday's non-league test.

The Trojans (14-2) will now prepare for their test against Beloit (Beloit, KS). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 4-11 record. In their last test, Beloit got by Republic County (Belleville, KS), 42-33, in a non-league test.

The Fighting Irish now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Wamego for a North Central Kansas test on Tuesday, February 7. Chapman will encounter a Red Raiders squad coming off a 62-29 non-league win over Eudora (Eudora, KS). The Red Raiders record now stands at 15-1.
