Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) and the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), saw Richmond's basketball squad overcome Lee County by a tally of 46-33.

With the victory, Richmond improves its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 6. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 10-10. Pine Forest lost 50-36 in their recent league challenge against Triton (Erwin, NC)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets confront the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 24 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Lee County will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Fighting Scots come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 56-40 non-league win over Westover (Fayetteville, NC).
