The Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) basketball crushed the host Sturgis Brown Scoopers (Sturgis, SD), 55-30 in Friday's non-league test.
The Kernels (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Spearfish (Spearfish, SD). The Spartans go into the AA test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Spearfish was trounced by Huron (Huron, SD), 58-54, in a league test.
The Scoopers now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Huron for a AA test on Saturday, February 4. Sturgis Brown will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 58-54 league win over Spearfish (Spearfish, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 7-7.
