The Roeper Roughriders basketball team (Birmingham, MI), was nudged 40-36 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Whitmore Lake Trojans (Whitmore Lake, MI)

The Trojans now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clarenceville for a Michigan Independent - Red battle on Tuesday, February 7. Whitmore Lake will battle a Trojans team coming off a 45-28 league win over Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy (Brighton, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 8-5.

The Roughriders (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Huron Valley Lutheran (Westland, MI). The Hawks come into the Michigan Independent - Red battle with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, Huron Valley Lutheran edged Parkway Christian (Sterling Heights, MI), 47-24, in a league battle.
