The Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA) basketball felled the visiting Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA), 53-42 in Friday's non-league test.
The Indians (12-13) will now prepare for their test against Neville (Monroe, LA). The Tigers go into the 4A District 2 test with a 14-8 record. In their last test, Neville was beaten by Peabody (Alexandria, LA), 36-34, in a league test.
The Trojans now own a 14-7 record. They play next when they host St. Edmund for a 1A District 6 test on Tuesday, February 7. Sacred Heart will encounter a Fighting Blue Jays squad coming off a 39-36 league win over Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA). The Fighting Blue Jays record now stands at 14-4.
