Massachusetts High School Ice Hockey - Vermont Academy held off by Cushing Academy

In Friday's league challenge, the Cushing Academy Penguins (Ashburnham, MA) ice hockey team nudged the visiting Vermont Academy Wildcats (Saxtons River, VT), by a margin of 3-2.
The Penguins now possess a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winchendon for a challenge on Wednesday, February 8. Cushing Academy will clash with a Wapiti team coming off a 3-1 league win over Albany Academy for Boys (Albany, NY). The Wapiti record now stands at 8-10.
The Wildcats (5-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Northfield Mount Hermon (Mount Hermon, MA). The Hoggers enter the challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, Northfield Mount Hermon was edged by Kimball Union Academy (Meriden, NH), 3-0, in a league challenge.
