The Hibriten Panthers basketball team (Lenoir, NC), was overwhelmed 55-32 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC)

The Pioneers now possess a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freedom for a battle on Tuesday, February 7. Watauga will battle a Patriots team coming off a 69-60 non-league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 11-6.

The Panthers (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Alexander Central trounced South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 54-44, in a non-league battle.
