The Weldon Chargers basketball team (Weldon, NC), was overwhelmed 80-15 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC)

The Tigers now possess a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Warren County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 7. Wilson Prep will confront a Eagles team coming off a 54-42 league loss to Northampton County (Gaston, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 13-5.

The Chargers (1-11) will now prepare for their battle against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Jaguars come into the battle with a 3-11 record. In their last battle, Rocky Mount Prep was overwhelmed by KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC), 75-43, in a league battle.
