Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Trimble Tomcats (Glouster, OH) and the visiting Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH), saw Trimble's basketball squad wallop Alexander by a count of 68-37.

With the victory, Trimble upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Tomcats host Belpre (Belpre, OH) to play the Golden Eagles in a Tri-Valley II challenge on Friday, February 9. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-6.

Next up, the Spartans play the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (Nelsonville, OH) in a Tri-Valley I challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Alexander will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Buckeyes come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 77-63 league loss to Vinton County (McArthur, OH).
