The Patriots enter the game with a 8-11 record after their 43-38 league loss to Parkway North (St. Louis, MO).

With the defeat, Capital City moves to 9-8 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Battle (Columbia, MO) to face the Spartans in a Central Missouri game on Tuesday, February 6. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 16-4. Battle won 76-39 in their recent non-league game against Southern Boone (Ashland, MO)
