The Christian Life Eagles basketball team (Rockford, IL), was nudged 55-49 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Forreston Cardinals (Forreston, IL)

The Cardinals now sport a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eastland for a Northwest Upstate Illini - South battle on Wednesday, February 7. Forreston will battle a Cougars team coming off a 83-29 league win over Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 20-8.

The Eagles (17-7) will now prepare for their battle against Faith Christian (Dixon, IL). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 17-2 record. In their last battle, Faith Christian edged Quad Cities Christian (Moline, IL), 66-65, in a non-league battle.
