Melstone Broncs (Melstone, MT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Custer/Hysham (Custer, MT), 51-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Melstone upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Broncs travel to Northern Cheyenne Tribal (Busby, MT) to clash with the Eagles in a C District 5 bout on Friday, February 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Northern Cheyenne Tribal lost 64-38 in their recent league bout against Forsyth (Forsyth, MT)

Next up, the clash with the Broadview/Lavina Pirates (Lavina, MT) in a C District 5 bout, on Friday, February 9. Custer/Hysham will attempt to upgrade on its 10-1 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 59-32 non-league loss to Harlowton/Ryegate (Harlowton, MT).
