In Saturday's non-league outing, the Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) basketball squad beat the visiting Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), by a count of 57-46.

The Chargers (12-11) will now prepare for their outing against Morrison (Morrison, IL). The Mustangs go into the Three Rivers - West outing with a 9-15 record. In their last outing, Morrison defeated Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL), 64-42, in a league outing.

The Maple Leafs now hold a 2-20 record. They play next when they host Moline for a Western Big 6 outing on Tuesday, February 6. Geneseo will clash with a Maroons squad coming off a 47-42 non-league win over Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 21-5.
