Guilford Vikings (Rockford, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL), 77-68 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Guilford upgrades its record to 21-4 on the season. The Vikings travel to Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL) to play the Titans in a Northern Illinois 10 bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 9-16. Boylan Catholic lost 55-45 in their recent league bout against Hononegah (Rockton, IL)

Next up, the Patriots play the Waukegan Bulldogs (Waukegan, IL) in a North Suburban bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Stevenson will attempt to upgrade on its 17-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 16-10 record after their 74-67 non-league win over Maine West (Des Plaines, IL).
