The Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL), 55-40 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Knights (14-12) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL). The Warriors go into the SouthWest Suburban - Red test with a 13-13 record. In their last test, Lincoln-Way West notched a victory over Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL), 52-45, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 7-18 record. They play next when they host West Aurora for a SouthWest Prairie test on Monday, February 5. Plainfield South will encounter a Blackhawks squad coming off a 65-44 league loss to Oswego East (Oswego, IL). The Blackhawks record now stands at 16-9.
