South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL), 71-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Beloit upgrades its record to 19-5 on the season. The Sobos host Galena (Galena, IL) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 17-10. Galena won 72-51 in their recent non-league bout against Orangeville (Orangeville, IL)

Next up, the Indians play the Johnsburg Skyhawks (Johnsburg, IL) in a Kishwaukee River bout, on Monday, February 5. Marengo will attempt to upgrade on its 3-23 season record. The Skyhawks go into the bout with a 13-12 record after their 74-53 league win over Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL).
