St. Benedict's Prep Gray Bees (Newark, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ), 66-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Benedict's Prep upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Gray Bees host College Achieve (Asbury Park, NJ) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 14-10.

Next up, the Panthers play the St. Mary Gaels (Rutherford, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, February 4. Newark Collegiate Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Gaels go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 72-31 non-league loss to Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, NJ).
