Waubay/Summit Mustangs (Waubay, SD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), 63-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Waubay/Summit upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Estelline/Hendricks (Estelline, SD) to clash with the in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Estelline/Hendricks lost 66-52 in their recent non-league bout against James Valley Christian (Huron, SD)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Webster Bearcats (Webster, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Northwestern Area will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 79-42 league win over Redfield (Redfield, SD).
