The Southern Lab Kittens basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Port Allen Pelicans to 49 in the Kittens non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Kittens now sport a 18-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thrive Academy for a 1A District 9 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Southern Lab will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 69-55 league win over Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-8.

The Pelicans (5-16) will now prepare for their contest against Doyle (Livingston, LA). The Tigers enter the 3A District 6 contest with a 16-11 record. In their last contest, Doyle was nudged by Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA), 79-51, in a league contest.
