In Saturday's non-league outing, the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Universal Stars (Bridgeview, IL), by a margin of 80-35.

The Astros (5-19) will now prepare for their outing against Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL). The Crusaders go into the non-league outing with a 5-17 record. In their last outing, Grace Christian Academy was trounced by St. Anne (St. Anne, IL), 65-44, in a non-league outing.

The Stars now own a 4-15 record. They play next when they host MCC for a Metro Prep outing on Tuesday, February 6. Universal will clash with a Crescents squad coming off a 86-39 league win over Islamic Foundation (Villa Park, IL). The Crescents record now stands at 15-8.
