The Hoover Vikings basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Buchtel Griffins to 27 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Vikings now sport a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tallmadge for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 7.

The Griffins (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Norwayne (Creston, OH). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Norwayne was routed by Waynedale (Apple Creek, OH), 48-26, in a league contest.
