The Valencia Jaguars topped the host Chaparral Lobos basketball team by a final score of 36-26 in Saturday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Jaguars face the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a 4A District 5 game, on Tuesday, February 6. Valencia will attempt to move on its 12-9 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 8-12 record after their 49-31 non-league win over Thoreau (Thoreau, NM).
With the defeat, Chaparral moves to 7-11 on the year. The Lobos host Deming (Deming, NM) to face the Wildcats in a 4A District 3 game on Monday, February 5. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 8-10. Deming won 70-24 in their recent non-league game against Da Vinci (El Paso, TX)
