Illinois High School Basketball - Riverton knocked off by Clinton

The Clinton Maroons basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Riverton Hawks to 35 in the Maroons non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Maroons now sport a 17-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Unity Christian for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Clinton will battle a Lions team coming off a 51-18 league loss to Cumberland (Toledo, IL). The Lions record now stands at 6-20.
The Hawks (10-16) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL). The Cardinals enter the Sangamo contest with a 21-6 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Plains ran past Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL), 58-30, in a league contest.
