In Saturday's non-league outing, the Wheelersburg Pirates (Wheelersburg, OH) basketball squad felled the host Fairfield Lions (Leesburg, OH), by a margin of 31-19.
The Pirates (9-10) will now prepare for their outing against Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH). The Senators go into the Southern Ohio III outing with a 17-3 record. In their last outing, Portsmouth West thwarted Peebles (Peebles, OH), 40-31, in a non-league outing.
