In Saturday's non-league outing, the Rochester Rams (Rochester, PA) basketball squad felled the visiting Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA), by a margin of 51-41.
The Rams (12-7) will now prepare for their outing against New Brighton (New Brighton, PA). The Lions go into the WPIAL 2A 1 outing with a 0-12 record. In their last outing, New Brighton was beaten by Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA), 52-6, in a league outing.
The Vikings now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they host Central Valley for a WPIAL 4A 2 outing on Monday, February 5. Hopewell will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 51-50 league win over Beaver (Beaver, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-10.
