The New Trier Trevians basketball team (Winnetka, IL), was nudged 44-40 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL)

The Saxons now possess a 24-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rolling Meadows for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 6. Schaumburg will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 41-24 non-league win over Warren Township (Gurnee, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 21-7.

The Trevians (15-14) will now prepare for their battle against Maine East (Park Ridge, IL). The Blue Demons come into the non-league battle with a 13-13 record. In their last battle, Maine East edged Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL), 48-43, in a league battle.
