Connecticut High School Basketball - Newington knocked off by Simsbury

The Simsbury Trojans basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Newington Nor'easters to 38 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Trojans now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hall for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6. Simsbury will meet a Titans team coming off a 46-36 non-league win over Tolland (Tolland, CT). The Titans record now stands at 5-12.

The Nor'easters (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Sheehan (Wallingford, CT). The Titans enter the non-league contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Sheehan ran past Canton (Canton, CT), 59-38, in a non-league contest.
