In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Crookston Pirates basketball team scored a close 62-57 triumph over the Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] Knights.

The Pirates (5-15) will now prepare for their contest against Warroad (Warroad, MN). The Warriors go into the AA Section 8 contest with a 18-1 record.

In their next game, the Knights confront the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons (Fertile, MN) in a A Section 8 contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] will attempt to better on its 4-17 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 16-4 record after their 46-44 non-league win over Park Christian (Moorhead, MN).
