The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Meade County Green Waves (Brandenburg, KY) and the visiting Elizabethtown Panthers (Elizabethtown, KY), observed Meade County's basketball team knock off Elizabethtown by a score of 73-60.

The Green Waves (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Grayson County (Leitchfield, KY). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 16-5 record. In their last challenge, Grayson County prevailed over Butler County (Morgantown, KY), 103-59, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Central Hardin Bruins (Cecilia, KY) in a District 17 challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. Elizabethtown will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 70-46 league win over Fort Knox (Fort Knox, KY).
