The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Gateway Legacy Christian Academy Lions (Florissant, MO) and the host Southern Boone Eagles (Ashland, MO), observed Gateway Legacy Christian Academy's basketball team overcome Southern Boone by a margin of 50-40.

The Lions (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Granite City (Granite City, IL). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 8-18 record. In their last challenge, Granite City dropped by Belleville East (Belleville, IL), 54-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Hickman Kewpies (Columbia, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. Southern Boone will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Kewpies come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 71-59 non-league win over Father Tolton (Columbia, MO).
