In Monday's non-league contest, the host Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights basketball team scored a good 79-70 triumph over the New Ulm Eagles.
The Knights (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Le Sueur-Henderson (Le Sueur, MN). The Giants go into the non-league contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Le Sueur-Henderson was topped by Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (Janesville, MN), 70-55, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Worthington Trojans (Worthington, MN) in a AAA Section 2 contest, on Friday, February 7. New Ulm will attempt to better on its 5-15 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 4-14 record after their 87-74 league win over St. Peter (St. Peter, MN).
