The Montezuma Braves basketball team scored 80 points and limited the visiting Moravia Mohawks to 42 in the Braves non-league triumph on Monday.

The Braves now have a 17-2 record. They play next when they host H-L-V/Tri-County for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. Montezuma will confront a team coming off a 66-41 non-league loss to Hillcrest Academy (Kalona, IA). The record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Moravia falls to 12-9 on the campaign. The Mohawks host Sigourney (Sigourney, IA) to confront the Savages in a non-league game on Thursday, February 6. The Savages go into the game with a record of 15-5. Sigourney won 61-59 in their recent league game against Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA)
