With the victory, Cumberland County advances its record to 16-5 on the year. The Panthers host Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY) to face the Hornets in a District 16 match on Friday, February 7. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 18-6. Metcalfe County won 37-34 in their recent league match against Russell County (Russell Springs, KY)

The Rebels now own a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lexington Catholic for a non-league match on Thursday, February 6. Casey County will face a Knights squad coming off a 50-38 league win over Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY). The Knights record now stands at 6-15.
